Energized, Not Exhausted
Are you exhausted and with your upcoming schedule there doesn't seem to be time for a break?
Here are 4 tips for being ENERGIZED instead of EXHAUSTED:
- Continue to fill your heart with thankfulness. Being grateful will actually change the chemistry of your brain and you will sense the strength and peace in your body.
- Don't move from busy to hurried. Busy is related to your calendar while hurry is related to your soul. When you are busy you have a lot to do in a limited space of time. You have Zoom meetings, helping children with school, meals to prepare, and laundry to wash. Moving from busy to hurried is easy to do. Hurry has a sense of urgency and you speed up the rate of doing something. You move into a state of rushing which immediately brings you out of being present in the moment. If you stay hurried you will miss the precious memories of the holidays.
- Stick to your healthy eating plan 80% of the time. During the majority of each week, eat the healthy foods that fuel your body and make you look and feel better, then give yourself grace to indulge a few times.
- Give 15 minutes each morning to breathe in God's presence and read His Word. God's promise is to energize those who get tired and bring fresh strength to those who want to quit and dropout.
He energizes those who get tired, gives fresh strength to dropouts. For even young people tire and drop out, young folk in their prime stumble and fall.
But those who wait upon God get fresh strength. They spread their wings and soar like eagles. They run and don’t get tired, they walk and don’t lag behind.
Isaiah 40:30-31
God's Word Makes the Difference
2020 brought us a new kind of exhaustion; the kind that drained us mentally and emotionally. The year put new strains on us that forced us to redesign the way we work, learn, shop, and gather.
BUT. . .
We learned a lot and realized that we are resilient and adaptable people. 2021 doesn't seem so overwhelming, and by God's grace we realize we are strong enough to face anything.
God's Word makes the difference!
I have been writing FREE Bible Reading Plans for 3+ years and the tribe that follows these plans are growing roots down deep in God.
I can't believe I just finished an entire year of the Reading Plans. My life has totally changed and I was able to stay strong and energized every day as I went to work as a nurse at the hospital.
The Reading Plans have transformed my love for God's Word, and I get excited to read my bible every morning. It’s not so intimidating anymore.
Bring energy and strength into your life everyday by committing to God's Word for 15 minutes a day. It is the healthiest routine you could ever add to your life - body, soul, and spirit.
